In a typical VMware vCenter Hosts and Clusters view there are parent resource pools (cluster object) and child resource pools (lets say Production, Test etc so as to prioritize physical hardware resource availability during periods of contention). During a provisioning process from a catalog item we only want the user to create within certain child resource pools. The Resource Pools Options List doesn’t provide for filtering down to the child resource pool level by name or id. Are there any other ways to do so ?
