Today I was investigating a Windows Guest Customizations Failure issue within a customers VCD environment. The issue was that Primary and Secondary DNS were configured with the same value on the VCD network static IP pool DNS settings. This was causing a silent error to occur within the Windows guest customization process when it tried to configure the network settings on the OS. It worth checking that the Primary and Secondary DNS are configured with different values if you are hitting guest customization failures. For example:
