Clearing "failed" tasks from an instances history?

Hello,

Is there a way to clear some failed “history” items from an instance/server resource?

We have an instance where a configure to add disk space in vCenter failed for some reason, where the “Resizing Workload” completed but the “Stop Service” and “Write Reconfigure Templates” tasks just show “…” as the status.

I’m guessing because of this the “VM” listed under the Resource section of Instances shows a “X” failed, and the instance status is a “!” warn. I was hoping to be able to clear those for the end user if possible as they inquired if that can be done.

Is there a way to reset/clear the status values?

The History is there to track what has been done to the instance. This should not be cleared.

If you want to change the status back to green (running), you can either get the task to succeed, or if you click actions > start, it should change back to the running state.

Tyler,

Ah that’s right, I forgot about the Actions > Start (or restart) resyncing that. I thought I remembered a way but totally forgot how.

Thanks!
