Trying to find out where the state files are kept… Can anyone assist?
The state files are encrypted in the database
Thank you! I was guessing that since I couldn’t find them anywhere. 
So is there options to have the backend be an alternative storage location? or do they have to reside in the DB?

Currently the DB is the only option. There are talks about enabling remote state support, but that will take some work on the backend to enable securely.
